Process Magazine

Layout Design
Instructor - Dermot McCormack

Process Magazine is a hypothetical magazine that features interviews from various creatives. The spreads that I designed feature an interview of Jon Contino, a Designer, Illustrator and Hand Letterer based in NYC. He is a huge Yankees fan and loves baseball in general, so much so that his logo is hand-lettering inside of a baseball. Because of this, I decided to design the layout in a way that would allude to baseball. I did this with hand-done type and a grid layout with thin lines around it. The table of contents has large numbers to relate to a score board. The layout was inspired by Esquire Magazine because their layouts often fill the entire page rather than having a lot of white space.
